Logistic services operators now generate over €7 billion in revenue, although growth is slowing
-
Turnover in the logistic services sector continued to grow in 2025, albeit with some slowing compared with the previous fiscal year. It reached €7.1 billion after rising 4.4%.
-
In recent years, the sector has shown a trend of a progressive increase in concentration. The five leading operators held 40% of the market in 2025, while the combined market share of the top ten was already close to 60%.

INFORMA's DBK Sectoral Observatory recently published these insights in the 'Logistic Services' Sectoral Report.
Madrid, 23 April 2026.- According to INFORMA's (Cesce's subsidiary) DBK Sectoral Observatoryâa leading provider of business, financial, sectoral, and marketing information in Spain and Portugalâturnover by logistic services operators in Spain, including revenue from goods warehousing and associated operations carried out on stored goods (handling, transport and distribution) and excluding services not linked to these warehousing operations, reached €7.1 billion in 2025, up 4.4% year-over-year.
The market therefore extended its growth trend, although at a slower pace than in previous years, in a context shaped by weaker momentum in e-commerce and more moderate growth in logistics services prices.
Revenue from warehousing and in-warehouse operations performed more strongly, rising 5.1% to €3.575 billion, now contributing just over half of the market's total value. Transport and distribution revenue increased 3.7% to €3.525 billion.
From a demand perspective, the food and drinks sector remained the main source of business for logistic services operators, accounting for just over 40% of the market. Other non-food sectors, such as electronic components, perfumery and cosmetics, or book publishing, also posted positive growth.
The number of companies in the sector stood at around 235, with employment reaching 44,000 workers. These figures reflected a slight increase from the previous year, driven mainly by the creation of small companies specialising in last-mile services.
The sector shows a significant degree of concentration: the five leading companies held 40% of the market in 2025, while the combined market share of the top ten operators was close to 60%. The trend towards progressive consolidation of supply therefore continued.
