  • The market value derived from home assistance services reached €2.85 billion in 2025, up 7.5% year-on-year, marking eleven consecutive years of growth. The total number of users, including telecare and home help, exceeded two million people for the first time.

  • The sector’s level of concentration continues to rise, driven by faster growth among the largest groups. The top ten operators now account for over 60% of the market’s total value.

  • INFORMA's DBK Sectoral Observatory recently published these insights in the 'Home Assistance Services' Special Report.

Madrid, 29 September 2026.- According to INFORMA's (Cesce's subsidiary) DBK Sectoral Observatory—a leading provider of business, financial, sectoral, and marketing information in Spain and Portugal—the value of the home assistance services market stood at €2.85 billion in 2025, after growing 7.5% versus 2024. Although the increase was somewhat more moderate than in 2024 (when it stood at 10.2%), the sector maintained its positive trend on the back of strong demand.

Home help services generated the bulk of total business, with €2.59 billion in revenue in 2025, up 7.5% from the previous fiscal year, representing 91% of the market.

Revenue from telecare services, which at €260 million accounted for the remaining 9%, showed greater dynamism in recent years, posting an 8.3% increase in fiscal year 2025.

The total number of public and private users exceeded two million people for the first time, after rising 7.0% in 2025, driven by the population’s progressive ageing and the expansion of public coverage. Telecare users represented 66% of the total, with 1.37 million users, while home help users stood at 695,000, 34% of the total.

The public system served 92% of total users at the end of 2025, or nearly 1.9 million people. Private users, meanwhile, maintained a minority share of around 8%.

The business structure is characterised by a majority of small companies with a local or regional footprint, operating alongside a limited number of large groups present in several autonomous communities and generally holding contracts with both public administrations and private clients.

The leading groups’ growth via acquisitions and the securing of new contracts supported the increase in the sector’s degree of concentration in recent years. The top five operators held a combined 51.1% market share in 2025; the top ten, 62.3%.
